LIBRARY PARENT VOLUNTEERS
- Occasional help with special projects, such as hallway displays and processing of new books.
- Book Fair helpers needed
Set up day: decorating the stage area and setting up the book fair.
Preview day: assisting students with wish lists.
Book fair sales during conferences: assisting parents with finding books from wish lists, calculating sales and taking checks & credit cards for payment.
Pack up day: repacking book fair items and getting it ready for pick up, removing decorations and cleaning up stage area.
- End of year inventory. Physical inventory of all books in the library using shelf lists.
PRESCHOOL ROOM PARENT
- Provide class lists to all parents.
- Plan and facilitate 3 simple holiday parties. (Halloween, Christmas, and Valentine's Day)
- Work together with all 3 room parents to plan a group picnic at the end of the year.
- Help with fan-out for emergency calling.
KINDERGARTEN ROOM PARENT
- Provide class lists to all parents.
- Will organize volunteers to provide a simple craft, story, treat and supervision for the Halloween, Christmas and Valentine's Day Parties.
- Attend the parties along with other assigned parent volunteers.
- If needed, assist with special projects or activities.
- Help with fan-out for emergency calling.
FIRST GRADE ROOM PARENT
- Will organize volunteers to provide a craft, story, treat and supervision for the Halloween, Christmas and Valentine's Day Parties.
- Attend the parties along with a maximum of three other parents.
- Host/coordinate the first communion reception for second grade.
- Encourage parents who are unable to attend to provide the treats, activities, stories or paper products.
- Organize snack schedule if students do not bring individual snacks.
- If needed, assist with special projects or activities.
- Help with fan-out for emergency calling.
SECOND GRADE ROOM PARENT
- Meet with the teacher at the beginning of the year.
- Help plan and organize holiday parties for Halloween, Christmas and Valentine's Day.
- Gather information from all parents in class including emergency phone numbers, e-mail addresses, and any allergies that would impact party preparations.
- Offer each parent volunteer opportunities in the classroom.
- Help organize chaperones/drivers for field trips.
- Schedule parents to read with the children in the hallway.
- Help gather materials for special projects.
- Help Mrs. Morian with the preparation of the Share-a-meal Pancake Breakfast.
- Help with fan-out for emergency calling.
THIRD GRADE ROOM PARENT
- Gather information from all parents in class including emergency phone numbers, e-mail addresses, and any allergies that would impact party preparations.
- Plan all class parties for the year.
- Help gather field trip drivers.
- Help with fan-out for emergency calling.
FOURTH GRADE ROOM PARENT
- Meet with the teacher at the beginning of the year.
- Help organize holiday treats (Halloween, Christmas, Valentine's Day).
- Gather information from all parents in class including emergency phone numbers, e-mail addresses, and any allergies that would impact party preparations.
- Offer each parent (via e-mail, phone call, or announcement via take home folder) volunteer opportunities within the classroom.
- Assist with field trip organizing, if applicable.
- Help with fan-out for emergency calling.
FIFTH AND SIXTH GRADE ROOM PARENT
- Help organize holiday treats (Halloween, Christmas, Valentine's Day).
- Help organize chaperones/drivers for field trips.
- Help with fan-out for emergency calling.
SEVENTH GRADE ROOM PARENT
- Gather information from all parents in class including emergency phone numbers, e-mail addresses, and any allergies that would impact party preparations.
- Help organize chaperones/drivers for field trips.
- Coordinate chaperones for graduation.
- Contact parents who can provide a small treat for a small gathering (i.e. Christmas).
- Help with fan-out for emergency calling.
EIGHTH GRADE ROOM PARENT
- Gather information from all parents in class including emergency phone numbers, e-mail addresses, and any allergies that would impact party preparations.
- Contact parents who can provide a small treat for holiday parties.
- Help with fan-out for emergency calling.
